PLAYER BIO

Defensive specialist Mandy Davis attends Weatherford College in Texas, a junior college in the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference. Davus, a Temple, Texas native, earned first team All-Conference honors in the NTJCAC both years in junior college play. She was also Freshman of the Year in 2000 and was a Preseason NJCAA All-American her sophomore year. Davis averaged 11.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.7 steals for a team that won the conference championship, later to get knocked out in the championship game of the Region V tournament. Davis scored a game-high 21 points in the loss. Weatherford finished the season as the best offensive team (averaging 80.0 points) in the NTJCAC, and the second best defensive team (allowing 59.6 points).

Mandy Davis verbally committed to Purdue on March 16, 2001. She will have two years of eligibility beginning with the 2001-02 season.
