"Stanley County’s Sam Ostarello is out for track again this year. It was her first year out for track as a sophomore and ended winning Class A and also the all-around from last year. Her PR is 5’7" last year. I would suspect she can go above that this year."
Evidently Sam has already shown she is competitive with the best Indiana has had to offer over the years. With a personal best of 5'7", that is the same height - or better - than nearly half of the winning IHSAA state high jumps for girls - regardless of age - over the history of IHSAA girl's state track meet records.
How's that for "perspective"?
