I hope forum watchers note that you indicated 'possibilities' in your title and your text.
I REALLY hope that 'possibility three' concerning top recruits and relative positions in the rotation is already not true for Purdue or will not be true shortly. A NON-one-and-done freshman should be able to fit into those 6-8 rotation slots his first year for a perennial B10-title contending team with a good staff at Purdue without bolting. And I might add a surprisingly creative coach. Matt appears to be rising up to the challenge of finding unusual paths for promoting excellence on the basketball court. We'll have to wait and see how players John Hart, Ryne Smith and Lewis Jackson develop.
What I really wanted to get to conceding that possibilities one and two are actually or approximately statements of fact: If a Willie Deane-like freshman recruit were to coincidentally appear in your backyard even though your current team was 1) loaded at guard and small forward for the next two or three years and 2) still significantly power-challenged up front with a lot of question marks for the future, then would you still snap the recruit up?
