Phillips is a 6' 3" 235 pound LB/DE prospect from Justin Kitchens" HS which indicates that last year's class has had a good experience at Purdue. Hope apparently is building good relationships with the coaches of many successful prep programs. Phillips would have signed except that he has not been accepted by the University admissions staff. This is probably due to the fact that he was offered late in the process.
This young man is so versatile that he played several positions on his high school team including free safety. He is reportedly very strong fast, fast and flexible.
