A classic case of a kid latching on with a school, then jumping ship as soon as a higher profile program comes calling. We've benefited from this in the past and this is fairly common, so I don't necessarily have a problem with it.
The 11th hour switch bothers me a bit whenever it happens to anybody.
But the part that really gets me is the fact that he called the night before and said he was coming here, only to do something completely different a few hours later. I had similar feelings a year ago when a high profile recruit pulled the exact same stunt to the coaching staff a little but to the south. For obvious reasons I wasn't necessarily upset about that one, but in both cases the dishonesty was very disturbing. And don't tell me he's "only an 18-year-old kid," because that doesn't excuse something like this... nothing does.
I see where Roundtree's HS teammate Michael Shaw bailed on Penn State and also signed with Michigan yesterday.
