I had exactly the same thought last night while watching Sean Payton and NO take the intelligent, calculated, reasonable risks necessary to win that game. I really think that was the difference because I firmly believe that the Colts were the better team .. and that if both teams played it ''straight up'' that the Colts would have likely won (or at least if they played 10 games straight up I believe the Colts would win at least 7 or more times). But Payton did what was necessary to negate that edge by employing the strategy he did .. just like Tiller did in the first 4 or 5 years of his career at Purdue before he settled into the ''play not to lose'' strategy of his final few years.
