The incident was nearly 3 weeks ago, but considering both an email and letter didn't get a response. Nor was there a retraction. I thought you guys might like to hear this. Michigan basketball beat writer for the Detroit Free Press, Mark Snyder's msnyder@freepress.com game story the next day opened with a remark about dominating Purdue with a healthy Robbie Hummel. The guy adjusted a bulky. visible back brace all game long and frequently grimaced from pain. The announcers, not that it wasn't obvious. But the announcers commented on the fact he was anything, but healthy. Michigan has been so bad, so long. I can somewhat understand blowing a basically irrelevant season out of proportion. Thirteen losses? A tie for 7th. place in an 11 team league? But the man is supposed to be a journalist. Apparently he thought only locals seeing his stories justified lying and hoping no one noticed. The article was the day after the game. I don't have a shedule, but the date of the article should be easy to find. Jam his in-box with emails and I'd appreciate you mentioning my email address in your messages to him Mikegarybr@aol.com.
