I've had 2 different 4-Wheel Drive vehicles over the past 10 years, but
I would NOT trade either of them for the All-Wheel Drive of the Subaru
Legacy.
The 4-Wheel Drive vehicle is great for one time per year when you are
driving through 6+ inches of snow. Otherwise, the 4-Wheel Drive is
just dragging down your fuel mileage.
The All-Wheel Drive vehicle will give you four wheel traction advantages
in rain, snow, as well as icing conditions. The only problem with the
All-Wheel drive is that you may get too confident and drive too fast,
allowing one of the other "sliding vehicles" to slide into you.
