Purdue received a commitment today from 2019 6'2 power forward Rickie Woltman of St. Louis (MO). She attends the same prep program, Incarnate Word, as former Boilermaker Taylor Manuel. Woltman was named the nation's top power forward as a sophomore by ESPN, and currently ranks #34 by ESPN and #35 by Prospects Nation. Starting in the low post, she has been working her game out to 15 feet.
A scouting report from Blue Star Media had this to say about Woltman -- "Woltman’s wingspan and height are the perfect combination for success on both the offensive and defensive end. Rebounding comes natural and her back to the basket moves are at times unstoppable. Woltman’s awareness and athleticism allows her to be a great passer as well."
Woltman joins Bria Harmon (5'7, PG) in the class of 2019. Barring a roster move, Purdue is now out of scholarships until the class of 2020.
