Harris and Lawson get mentionsTwo Purdue verbal commits got mentions by the ProspectsNation staff for their tournament work on Saturday. 2016 6'1 forward Ae'Rianna Harris and 2017 6'2 post Dani Lawson both have teams at the PSB Summer Invitational in Marietta, Ga. Purdue assistant Kelly Komara has been spotted on site.
"Ae'Rianna Harris, a 6 foot 1 forward out of Indianapolis, Ind., was one of the best athletes on the floor today. She is an explosive player who altered every shot in her area and finished with power as well. The Gym Rats rising senior is committed to Purdue."
"Purdue commit Dani Lawson of Beachwood, Ohio, showed her ability to score and rebound in the lane today in a win. The 6-2 post for the Toledo Thunder is a problem for defenders to keep off the glass."
Also mentioned is 2016 guard Shayna Harmon, who we heard mentioned in relation to Purdue before Purdue went on to receive commitments from 2016 guards Miracle Gray and Dominique Oden.

New names added to the watch list
We have updated the Recruiting watch list with some new names. Some new additions either getting looks from Purdue, or showing interest in Purdue ...
2018 Aaliyah Patty, a 6'3 post from Montini Catholic (IL) -- Plays for the Illinois Lady Lightning Bronze club, and was scouted in Michigan this summer by the Lady Ballers Insider: "Aaliyah has a long frame that she uses to her advantage. She does a great job posting with her back to the basket and finishing with a soft touch. The best thing about her game is that she is capable of finishing with both hands." Patty shares time at Montini with nationally recruited Montini classmate freshman Lindsey Jarosinski, a 6'4 center who got a tryout for USA Basketball this summer.
2018 Arieal Scott, a 5'9 guard from Schlarman Academy (IL) -- Named IBCA first team all-state in Illinois following a solid freshman season. Scott plays summer ball with the Indiana Lady Gym Rats Silver Team with Purdue commit Ae'Rianna Harris and multiple Purdue targets including 2017 guards Dana Evans and Karrisa McLaughlin. She has the distinction of holding the Illinois state all-time records for three-point field goals made in the grade school tournament (13), championship game (4), and semifinals game (6). She also scored 32 points in her first high school game, finishing her freshman season averaging 22.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.4 steals and 2.2 assists for a 19-6 team. Schools with early interest include Purdue, Indiana, Illinois, Ball State, and Iowa. The last three schools on that list have offered scholarships.
2018 Kayana Traylor, a 5'9 guard from Martinsville (IN) -- The top rated 2018 player in Indiana (IGBRR) has been offered by Purdue, Indiana, and Michigan State so far. The lefty slasher has a father who played at Iowa (Jeff Walker), a mother who played at LSU (Danielle Traylor), and an aunt, April Traylor, who played at Florida State. She plays in the summer for Indiana Flight 17 Strike, the 2015 14U USJN Rising Blue Star National Champions.
2019 Laya Hartman, a 5'10 point guard from Okemos (MI) -- Picked up offers in the past week from Michigan State and Villanova, with Purdue and Michigan said to be considering offering soon by her summer coach. She plays on a loaded Indiana Lady Gym Rats team with several Division I prospects in the 2019 and 2020 classes.
2019 Shaila Beeler, a 5'6 point guard who will play for Warren Central in Indianapolis (IN) -- Gained offers from Indiana and Illinois in the past two weeks, and has the rest of the B1G looking, including Purdue. She plays summer ball with the George Hill G3 Rising Stars 2019 team. Early hype as an elite-level point guard nationally in 2019.
This and That
2016 center Tori McCoy will be cutting her list of a hundred schools (an exageration, but not too far off) down to five in August ... 2016 wing scorer Tyasha Harris is not ready to shorten her list of 54 offers just yet, a list that includes Purdue, Indiana, Butler, Michigan State, Ohio State, Georgia Tech, Georgetown, Alabama, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, and more ... 2018 point guard Jenasae Bishop has offers from Wisconsin and Michigan State, with Purdue assistant Kelly Komara watching her every move. She also holds a 4.3 GPA and is getting attention from Princeton and the Ivy League.
