PURDUE WOMENS BASKETBALL RECRUITING:
Women's Recruiting Update: Summer Evaluation period begins today

Recruiting calendar

The first evaluation period of the busy July recruiting period begins today. College coaches are now allowed off-campus evaluation, but off-campus contact with players or parents is still prohibited. Contact is allowed on-campus, but you don't see too many planned official or unofficial visits during this Evaluation period. Those campus visits normally start up again in the August Quiet period. When recruits talk about making decisions by the end of the summer, that usually means a busy July being seen, a busy August making a few visits, then a decision by the time high school starts up again.

Here is a rundown of what is allowed at what times through next spring.

July 6 - July 12 - Evaluation Period: Off-campus evaluation is allowed. On-campus contact through official or unofficial visits is permissible. Off-campus contact is prohibited.
July 13 - July 22 - Dead Period: All in-person, on–campus or off-campus contacts and evaluations, official and unofficial visits are prohibited.
July 23 - July 29 - Evaluation Period
July 30 - July 31 - Dead Period
August 1 - August 31 - Quiet Period: Only in-person, on-campus contact is permissible. Off-campus contacts and evaluations are prohibited.
September 1 - September 8 - Quiet Period
September 9 - September 29 - Contact Period: All in-person, on–campus or off-campus contacts and evaluations, official and unofficial visits are permissible.
September 30 - February 28 - Evaluation Period (Open through February with the exception of two Dead Periods November 10-13 and December 24-26)

Summer teams of recruits and prospects

Here is a list of teams the players on the watch list should be playing with this July. Some players float from team to team, so you could see a player pop up on another team for a specific tournament.

And again, a caveat on the list below. This is certainly not an exhaustive listing of all the players Purdue is watching this summer. There are many not yet on this list, and some on the list the coaches may no longer be actively recruiting. It is our policy to keep a player on the list until they either drop Purdue or commit elsewhere. With the dwindling number of scholarships available for the classes of 2015 and 2016, we can be sure the list the coaches works from is becoming rather narrow for those two classes. The advantage of having so many 2015 and 2016 players already in the fold is the Purdue coaches can devote more time this summer absorbing in-person viewings of the 2017 and 2018 classes.

Feel free to email me with any changes you know of to the following list.
