On the heels of a commitment from 2014 center Haley Bodnar today, fellow campus visitor Andreona Keys also pledged for Purdue. The 5'11 guard from Roswell, Georgia, announced via Twitter moments ago she had also chosen the Boilers.
Andreona Keys @A23keys: I AM SO HAPPY TO SAY THAT I'VE VERBALLY COMMITTED TO PLAY BASKETBALL AT PURDUE!!! I AM SO THANKFUL! I CAN'T EVEN BELIEVE IT!
Keys has a reputation of being aggressive with the ball on the court, and frequently in her high school career has scored in excess of 30 points. She will help the Boilers rebound from the guard position.
With the commitment of Bodnar and Keys today, Versyp is likely finished with the class of 2014, and carries one scholarship forward to the class of 2015. One of the targets for the last 2015 scholarship slot is also on campus this weekend, 6'6 center Nora Kiesler who attends Louisville Assumption in Kentucky.
