In an announcement that was not supposed to go public until Thursday afternoon, All-Star Girls Report is reporting 5'6 South Bend junior guard Tiara Murphy has chosen Purdue.
If ASGR's Bret McCormick is correct, Murphy's addition brings to three the number of scholarship players committed for the class of 2015, in addition to invited walk-on guard Abby Abel. With the release last week of the ESPN Super 60 rankings for 2015, Murphy came in at No. 24, just four spots behind the already committed Dominique McBryde at No. 20. Murphy is ranked 16th by scouting service Prospects Nation, and is rated 53rd by Blue Star.
Murphy had a final list of Purdue, Louisville and Michigan State.
