Houser and fellow senior Marissa Kastanek came out of the game for good before the end of the third quarter. Southeast head coach John Larsen told the Lincoln Journal Star Houser is a complete player. "KK does a great job of getting herself ready to go," Larsen said. Southeast 45 - Grand Island 27: While Grand Island was able to dictate the tempo of the game early by breaking the Sotheast press, they couldn't avoid a 14-3 Southeast run in the second quarter that put the game out of reach. Houser had a game-high 22 points, and was the only Southeast player in double figures.
Southeast 49 - Lincoln East 39: Southeast took the the Heartland Athletic Conference Tournament Championship with a 49-39 win. Southeast crawled back into the game using defensive pressure, took the lead by the middle of the third quarter, and held Lincoln East to 2-of-11 shooting in the fourth for the win.
